Stop David Gilbert from Being Granted Parole

In his final act as Governor, Andrew Cuomo committed a disgusting betrayal to the people of Rockland County, the families of Peter Paige, Edward O’Grady, and Waverly Brown, and law enforcement officers everywhere, when he commuted the 75-year sentence of David Gilbert, a domestic terrorist and convicted murderer, who helped orchestrate the 1981 Brinks Robbery that resulted in the deaths of three individuals, Brink’s security guard Peter Paige, Nyack Police Sgt. Edward O’Grady, and Nyack Police Officer Waverly “Chipper” Brown.

Because of Andrew Cuomo’s horrific decision to commute his sentence, David Gilbert is now eligible for parole and will have his parole hearing in September of 2021. According to the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, he is eligible for parole on October 18th, just two days shy of the 40th Anniversary of his heinous crimes.

Cuomo’s handpicked Parole Board has a long history of releasing unrepentant cop-killers, child rapists, murderers, and terrorists — which is why we need your help!

Sign this petition and tell the Parole Board David Gilbert does not deserve parole and must serve the remainder of his life in prison!

Let’s send a message to Andrew Cuomo that we stand with the men and women in law enforcement and will never tolerate the release of cop-killers!
