Rockland County is being challenged as never before. Having successfully waged my own battle against COVID-19, I understand the concerns of our residents and the threat this disease is raging on the public health and well-being. However, working together, I know we will defeat this challenge and come out of it stronger and more united.

Shared Work Program as an Alternative to Layoffs

  • The New York State Department of Labor is also reminding businesses of the Shared Work Program that allows workers to work a reduced schedule and collect partial unemployment benefits for up to 26 weeks as an alternative to layoffs.
